Peramola

Peramola

Peramola is situated in the wide valley of Segre, at the foot of the first mountains of the Pyrenees: Sant Honorat and Aubenç mountain ranges. The village still preserves some remains of the its medieval charms: walls, arcades of narrow houses, stone windows and circular structure and organization. This is an ideal starting point to discover the wonders of the Pre-Pyrenees such as spectacular rocky formations, Romanesque chapels and vertiginous rocky cliffs with fantastic views. Apart from Peramola –the capital–, the municipality also hosts the villages of Tragó and Cortiuda, the farm of Castell-Llebre, the hamlet of Nuncarga, as well the chapels of Sant Honorat and Sant Salvador del Corb and other farms, here and there.

Located on the plain between Tragó and Nuncarga, overlooking the river Segre, Santa Llúcia, in Tragó, is a Romanesque Lombard church from the 11th century.
