Andorra la Vella

Andorra la Vella is the capital city of Principality of Andorra and the country’s political, administrative and commercial centre. Located in the heart of the central valley and surrounded by mountains, it allies urban dynamism and privileged natural environment. Crossed by the river Valira, its territory preserves areas of cultural and landscape interest that have been evolving throughout the centuries. Santa Coloma church, which will host the FeMAP concert, is one of the most emblematic monuments in the country. With its circular Lombard-style bell tower —one of the few examples of this type you can find in the Principality—, this pre-Romanesque temple also stands out for its 12th-century Romanesque mural paintings, considered a jewel of Andorran artistic heritage. After a while in different foreign private collections and museums, the works finally returned to Andorra in 2007.
