WHAT IS FeMAP?

Every summer, the Pyrenees Early Music Festival (FeMAP) brings music closer to the Pyrenean regions. The participating municipalities host about fifty concerts by bands and soloists who are famous in the field of ancient music.

Through its eleven years of existence, the festival has become one of the most important and prestigious event in the Pyrenees, mainly because of its cross-border dimension.

Solicitous about combining high-quality ancient music with the natural and cultural heritage of the Pyrenees, the FeMAP organises concerts in singular sites such as Romanesque churches and high mountain lakes. It also offers a wide range of accommodations as well as guided tours and discovery activities that are included in the concert ticket.

The festival has also a socio-educational action programme called “Social FeMAP” that is aimed at bringing music closer to people who have difficulty accessing culture.

Its commitment to the Pyrenees and its inhabitants turn FeMAP into a unique event.
