Programme
Works by anonymous artists.

Moorish music was introduced in the Peninsula by the Arabs who came and settled the area and by the emigrants from the Middle East who settled in North Africa and Al-Àndalus. It is a mix of eastern music and traditional music from each of these places that has been evolving throughout the ages and that has been surviving to date thanks to the Moroccans who passed it down from generation to generation, orally and struggling to maintain its genuineness. Orquesta Andalusí del Mediterráneo invites you to discover the heritage of the great Moorish poets and musicians, especially the Nubas, a poetic and musical variant that represents the greatest splendour of Moorish music.
