Located a few kilometres from the ski resort of La Molina and La Masella, Alp is one of the most important winter tourism centres of the Pyrenees. However, for some years this municipality of Baixa Cerdanya also offers a wide range of possibilities to those who prefer visiting the locality during summer time: activities of active tourism such as mountain karts, excursions on horseback, foot or cycling, visits to the uninhabited centres of Saltèguet, Ovella and Segramorta, excursions to the Dolem of Paborde, to the different fountains that surround the municipality or to emblematic constructions such as the Torre de Riu, which is an ancient castle, the Divina Pastora chapel, the Romanesque church of Sant Pere d’Alp or the neo-Romanesque chapels of the Mare de Déu de les Neus (1929) and the Verge de Montserrat (1930).
