Alt Àneu

Located at the Valls d’Àneu, the municipality of Alt Àneu consists of 8 villages that are distributed throughout the valley in the northernmost part of Pallars Sobirà. Alt Àneu includes the old town hall of Isil, Son, Sorpe and València d’Àneu with their respective aggregated: Alós, Àrreu, Borén, Isaverre, Isil, Son, Sorpe i València d’Àneu. The area of the valley is characterized by a rich ancient tradition and a natural and cultural heritage of exceptional interest, close to the National Park of Aigüestortes and the Sant Maurici Lake. This location makes the city a perfect meeting point in summer as in winter: hiking, mountain routes, adventure sports, a large Romanesque architectural heritage and exceptional cuisine are just some of the attractions that the area offers to visitors.
