A new perspective to Bach

Bach wrote the trio piece of this programme at its most mature composing age for his eldest son, Wilhelm Friedmann. His objective was to turn him into a great organ virtuoso, which soon came true. Acadèmia Música Antiga de Caimari presents this fantastic work from a new perspective, as it was originally written for organ. Its melodies, the fugue of voices that succeed one another in the form of imitation and the musical architecture of every movement, among others, give the work an unreachable beauty that goes beyond our spirit.
